Research: Open Banking 2020

DigFin worked with gini enterprise, a Hong Kong-based fintech, to develop a white paper on open banking. Based on original survey research, we wanted to understand industry perceptions about the opportunities and concerns around open APIs.

We found that respondents from banks were more aware of open APIs than peers from other parts of the industry (tech, consultants, etc). Bankers were also more skeptical about who stood to gain the most. Our report delves into why open APIs can benefit financial institutions – and where we think the most progress is to be gained.
